Excited to share my Mile Monsters M79 motorcycle trip – just long weekend where I ventured to the Mecca of all scenic places to explore, the iconic Cabot Trail.
I kicked things off riding through Vermont and New Hampshire, carving backroads and looping around mirror-like lakes before crossing into Quebec to check out Magnetic Hill — a wild optical illusion that messes with your senses. I dumped my bike in the middle of the road doing a U-turn (totally miscalculated the incline of the road!). From there, I dropped back into the U.S., cutting across Maine to the base of Mt. Katahdin, then pushed on to Acadia National Park. I couldn’t resist a late-night lap around the Park Loop Road — spooky shadows, critters darting by, and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks under a moonlit sky. It was eerie, peaceful, and absolutely unforgettable.
The next morning, I rolled out early and made my way to the Lubec Lighthouse — the easternmost point in the U.S. and a perfect spot to watch the first light touch the Atlantic. From there, I crossed back into Canada 🇨🇦, heading toward Saint John, New Brunswick, where the coastal air, friendly locals, and winding roads reminded me why I chase horizons in the first place. Along the way to Nova Scotia, I rode the breathtaking Fundy Trail Parkway and got lucky with a low tide! and stood beneath the towering tides at Hopewell Rocks. 🪨 on the trail, I managed to drop my phone and went on a mini side quest to find a fix-it cell phone shop — good times! 😅 Let’s just say I always carry a backup phone now.
And just when I thought I’d seen it all, the Cabot Trail delivered wave after wave of ohhs and wows. 🌊🏔️ Every curve revealed another jaw-dropping view — cliffs plunging into the sea, mountains meeting the clouds, and pure riding bliss. I even took a 6-mile dirt road to Meat Cove, the northernmost tip of Nova Scotia — simply amazing! Let’s just say I earned my off-road motocross certificate that day… on a full-size bagger! 🤘
I’ve been chasing the Great Lakes Cabot Trail Tour 🏍️🌊 Today I submitted all my docs & pics ✅ The SCMA (Southern California Motorcycle Association) gave me the thumbs up — and just like that, I’m officially the first 2025 finisher of this epic tour! 🏍️ I hit over a dozen required sites, documenting every stop with photos and GPS tracks to seal the ride, as required for the submission. I’m honored to be part of a small elite folks who have conquered this in the one year requirement. 🥇 How cool is that?!
This ride kicked butt 💪—7,000+ miles of planning, grit, and focus. Honestly don’t know if I could do it again anytime soon… maybe in retirement 🤷♂️ But I set my goal and never let go.
