In August, when I roll — I’m riding for two powerful causes:
🐺 The 7 boys battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy through Mile Monsters Inc.,
🐾 The working and retired K9 heroes supported by Harlow Heroes
For those who don’t know — or just have selective memory (sorry too easy, 😂) — this is the second charity I’m riding for during the 2026 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. And this one? It hits close to home… with serving friends and family – past and present.
Harlow Heroes is a Connecticut-based nonprofit with national impact — supporting K9 teams and their handlers when and where it’s needed most. Active or retired. They show up. As riders, we understand loyalty. We understand service and having your partner’s back — no matter what. That’s why this resonates deeply with me years ago and with my riding club.
🔥 And here’s part of the reveal…
📌 Along my various trips this year, I’m planning to nest-in and visit 50+ War Dog and K9 memorials East of the Mississippi River. A rolling tribute. Honoring the service, sacrifice, and loyalty of these K9 heroes — while bringing awareness to the mission of Harlow Heroes and the families they support.
📌 It’s also with great pride that I’ll be visiting a memorial that means something very special to many— the tribute to fallen K9 Barrett, which I helped get established in the TOH database two years ago. The upcoming spring visit will be a special one. No doubt about it.
