One of the things I love most about these Treasure coin adventures is that you never know who will find one next—or where the journey will take them.
This time, treasure coin #58 was discovered by fellow Hoka Hey rider and long-distance motorcyclist, Mike Damen “The Godfather”.

The coin had been quietly waiting near a firehouse along the shores of Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg in Webster, Massachusetts. If that name sounds impossible to pronounce, don’t worry—you aren’t alone. I rode past the sign three times and still can’t say it. Most locals just call it Webster Lake, which is probably why everyone gets along. Longest lake name that I’ve ever seen!!
The lake has quite a history. Long before motorcycles, cars, gas station burritos or roller dawgs, Native American tribes traveled and fished these lands. The name is often translated as “fishing place at the boundary,” though everyone who’s tried to pronounce it has probably translated it a little differently.
Now it can add another story to its history.
While exploring the area, The Godfather tracked down coin #58 – inside the canister were a few keepsakes, a first responders challenge coin, information about Mile Monsters Inc., and a handful of MarkyMark decals.

What started as a simple hidden coin has become something much bigger.
Every treasure coin discovered helps spread awareness for the seven boys we ride for through Mile Monsters Inc. and their fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Every rider who finds a coin learns a little about them, shares the story, and helps carry that awareness down the road. That’s what makes these finds special. It’s not really about the coin.
It’s about the stories, the wrong turns that somehow become the best part of the ride, and the riders who decide that “I’m just going for a quick ride” that turns into a 300-mile day.

Congratulations to The Godfather on finding Coin #58. Thanks for helping spread the word about DMD, carrying a little Mile Monsters spirit down the road, and proving once again that adventure can be found in the most unexpected places.
Ride safe, keep exploring, and remember: if you ever find yourself standing in front of a sign trying to pronounce Lake Chaubunagungamaug, just call it Webster Lake and save yourself twenty minutes of embarrassment LOL.
