Everyone drove right past it.

For more than a year, GeoCoin #55 quietly sat hidden in plain sight at Four Corners Park in Madawaska, Maine. Visitors pulled into this park dedicated to endurance riders – and serves as an official stop for the famous Four Corners Tour. Today, it’s a bucket-list destination where riders from around the world gather to celebrate their journeys, leave their mark, and enjoy the scenic views along the Saint John River. Many stop and take pictures right by gate entrance, the monument etc and well by the ‘stop sign’…….

What they didn’t realize was that a hidden treasure was sitting just a few feet away… right under their noses.

Then along came Amy Hampton Bishop from Russ’s Ocean State Harley-Davidson.

Amy, a traveler and passionate for motorcycles loves the journey just as much as the destination, and her travels brought her to the northeasternmost corner of the contiguous United States. After solving one of my GeoCoin riddles, Amy unlocked the GPS coordinates and found GeoCoin #55. Within minutes she was holding a treasure that had patiently waited over a year for the right hunter to come along. The best part?

It wasn’t hidden on some remote spot or buried deep in the woods. It was tucked away beside the stone wall near the stop sign—hidden in plain sight while countless people unknowingly stop right by it. 🤣

Opening the container revealed the a challenge coin, a few surprises, and something I had completely forgotten about—one of my original OG Rolling Wolf decals! I laughed when Amy sent me the pictures. Apparently I had left myself a little time capsule.

That’s what I love most about this project – with over 300 coins across the country. The coin is just the excuse. The real reward is giving riders another reason to explore, solve a mystery, and turn an ordinary stop into a story they’ll remember long after the ride is over.

Congratulations, Amy, on finding GeoCoin #55. You didn’t just find a coin—you added another chapter to its story. And somewhere at 4 corners park there’s, another Treasure Coin quietly waiting for the next hunter / rider who’s willing to look a little closer. 🏍️🪙
