Alex and Nichole have been on one heck of an adventure — two wheels, beautiful roads, incredible places and adding a few of my hidden Monster 79 treasure coins to their travels became another little piece of their journey. I have to say, I’m pretty humbled to be a small part of it. Every picture and message they’ve sent has made me smile. They’re not just checking places off a map — they’re exploring, laughing, making memories and finding some Monsters and Heroes along the way. Boy, what a trip these two are having! 🏍️❤️
And apparently MarkyMark decided sightseeing alone wasn’t enough…I needed to make them dig too. 😂🏴☠️

As they arrived near Fundy for what turned out to be the MOTHER LODE. Waiting beneath one rock were Chase, Tooley, Khaos and Tammy H. Four Monsters, one rock, and apparently one rock that wasn’t giving up the goods without a fight.
This time Alex apparently assessed the situation and decided they needed to escalate matters. Somehow, somewhere, the man produces a HAMMER. 🔨😂

Now forget the treasure for a second. WHERE THE HECK DID ALEX FIND A HAMMER?! Did he borrow it? Find it? Was it conveniently lying nearby? Or has this dude been casually riding around Canada with a hammer tucked into his motorcycle this entire time? 🤣
I’m picturing Nicole saying, “Alex, I think they’re under this rock.” And Alex just looks at her like, “Stand back. I got this.” 🔨😂.
Either way, the rock eventually surrendered and out came the mother lode — Chase, Tooley, Khaos and Tammy H. Four Monsters finally back above ground! And I’m told they’re now heading home to receive perhaps the highest honor any little buried Monster can achieve: a spot on the mantle. 😂🪙🏆 From Canadian dirt to prime household real estate. Not a bad retirement!

There’s also a reason I chose this area to leave a little Monster treasure behind. Fundy National Park and the Bay of Fundy are pretty freaking special. This part of New Brunswick is a mix of rugged coastline, forested highlands, rivers, waterfalls and little communities tucked between it all. Then, of course, there are the tides.
The Bay of Fundy is known for the highest tides in the world. Around the park, the difference between high and low tide can reach roughly 12 metres — nearly 40 feet — and even greater tidal ranges occur farther up the bay. Around nearby Alma, low tide can expose huge stretches of ocean floor that disappear beneath the water again only hours later.
Think about that. You can stand there looking across what seems like dry land, come back a few hours later and Mother Nature has repossessed the property. 😂🌊
That’s what I loved about riding through this area. The scenery constantly changes. Forests give way to coastline, little fishing communities appear around the next bend, and there’s always another reason to stop and look around. It’s exactly the kind of place where I wanted someone hunting one of these coins to slow down and explore…although I probably didn’t need to bury the damn things deeply enough to require construction equipment. 😂🔨
This section of my trip also holds another hilarious memory for me. While making my way toward Nova Scotia with the gang, I stopped in this general area and managed to drop my cell phone while getting off the motorcycle. I picked it up, looked at the screen and…black. Nothing.
Well…crap. 😂
Breaking your phone at home is annoying. Breaking your phone while traveling through Canada on a motorcycle when you’re depending on that little rectangle for communication, information and basically your entire digital existence is a whole different level of “you’ve gotta be kidding me.” And there wasn’t exactly a Verizon store waiting around the next corner. 🤣 Thankfully my buddy Matt stepped up and led the way on his adventure bike toward a repair shop about 40 minutes north. Matt apparently interpreted “Hey, I need to get my phone fixed” as “MARK, PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE CANADIAN GRAND PRIX.” 🏍️💨😂 Let’s just say we traveled at some rather spirited sightseeing speeds.
We finally get to the repair shop. I hand the guy my apparently deceased phone, already preparing myself for expensive news. He looks at it, messes with it and discovers…the damn phone wasn’t dead at all. It had essentially auto-dimmed itself into another dimension. 🤦♂️😂
That’s it. We’d just performed the Tour de New Brunswick at warp speed because my phone apparently decided, “Nah, Mark doesn’t need to see the screen today.” Son of a… 😂
Phone fixed, crisis over, we eventually caught back up with the rest of the gang before Hopewell Rocks and continued toward Nova Scotia. At the time it was stressful as hell. Looking back now, it’s absolutely hilarious — and another reminder of just how dependent we’ve become on those damn phones.

Now, as Alex and Nichole start wrapping up this incredible Canadian adventure, I do have one tiny pirate confession. 🏴☠️
They found a lot of my coins. They hunted Heroes, dug up Monsters, searched through moss, moved rocks and apparently graduated to hammer-assisted treasure tool. But…they didn’t find them all. 😈🪙
In fact, there are a few they rode right past. Even better, there were places where they were practically standing right next to one and never knew it. 🤣 Did I tell them? Nope. Did I occasionally see one of their pictures and think, “Holy crap…you’re RIGHT FREAKING THERE!” Absolutely. 😂
Mark can be pure evil sometimes. But ya gotta laugh!
That’s part of the fun. They’re little reasons to explore — to stop somewhere you might normally pass, learn something about the place you’re standing, make a memory and carry the story of a Monsters or Heroes a little farther down the road.
Some get found quickly. Some sit for months. Some survive Canadian winters. And apparently some wait patiently beneath a rock until a crazy biker shows up carrying a hammer. 🔨😂
That’s what I’ve enjoyed most about watching this trip. I planted these coins during my own adventures, never knowing who would eventually find them or what their story would be. Now I’m watching two friends weave them into their adventure, and that’s pretty damn cool.
But behind them, scattered along those roads and hidden near some of the places they’ve visited, more Monsters and Heroes are still waiting. Waiting for another rider, another explorer, another pirate. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next year. Maybe after another Canadian winter. That’s part of the adventure.
ARRRGH, MATEY! 🏴☠️
