Some coins get stumbled upon by accident. Others require you to ride from New Jersey to Rhode Island and start digging in the dirt because some crazy guy told you, “Trust me, it’s down there!” 😂

Al’s coin was one of 40+ treasure coins that were part of my Mile Monsters fundraiser for my Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. I took time during the challenge to plant these little pain the in ass canisters 🤣 along my route for different people — sometimes tired, pressed for time, and probably when I should’ve been sleeping. But that was part of the fun. Each one supported Mile Monsters and our Heroes while leaving a little piece of my journey behind for another adventure someday by you.
Well, Al made the ride up from Jersey, found his spot, did a little digging and BINGO! 🪙 Dirty, weathered and right where I left it — another treasure officially recovered!

After the archaeological portion of the day 😂, we headed over to Ocean State Harley-Davidson, eyeballed some new bikes and said hello to my favorite crew there. Thankfully, “just looking” didn’t turn into a new monthly payment. From there we rode to the Middle of Nowhere Diner for a quick lunch, some good conversation, and then got Al pointed back toward Jersey.

Dude, I’m so glad you made the trip and even happier you found your coin. What started as a 40+ coin fundraiser keeps creating new rides, new memories and new stories long after my Hoka Hey ended.
You rode. You dug. You found the treasure. We looked at motorcycles and ate. Pretty damn good day! 😂👊
Great job, buddy — Al’s Hoka Hey treasure coin is officially HOME! 🪙❤️🏍️
