Miles of Real-World Comfort

Let’s get the obvious joke out of the way right now… Yes, I’m a Wild Ass AmbASSador. But I’m also a rider.

And after logging well over 90,000 combined miles with Wild Ass cushions between my Victory Cross Country and my current Road Glide, I and countless others know the difference between marketing hype and equipment that actually works. The Wild Ass works.
In fact, it’s become one of those rare pieces of gear that automatically moves from one motorcycle to the next whenever I buy a new bike or I just get another cushion. A high compliment.

The Secret Nobody Tells You
Most people think more air equals more comfort. Wrong. The secret to a Wild Ass cushion is using less air than you think you need. Dial it in correctly and you’ll barely feel it beneath you. Instead of sitting on the cushion, you float ever so slightly above the seat while the interconnected air cells continuously redistribute pressure. Once you find that sweet spot, something magical happens: You forget it’s even there. And that’s exactly the point.
Your Butt Deserves Better Working Conditions
Anyone can look comfortable during the first hour of a ride. The real test comes around hours six, eight, ten, or somewhere during that stretch of highway where you start fighting your backside. We’ve all been there. Sliding around on the seat. Standing on the pegs. Leaning left. Leaning right. Trying to find that one position that doesn’t feel like you’re sitting on a cast-iron waffle maker.
The Wild Ass helps eliminate the pressure points that develop during long days in the saddle. And stay comfortable for significantly longer while reducing fatigue and discomfort on extended rides. For me personally, one of the biggest benefits has been reducing those pressure areas that can aggravate my lower back and occasionally wake up my sciatic nerve. Trust me… An angry sciatic nerve doesn’t care how beautiful the scenery is.
Tested Miles, Not Parking Lot Miles
My Wild Ass hasn’t lived a sheltered life. And many others share the same or even more miles!
It’s survived scorching summer rides, cold mornings, endless highway miles, back roads, mountain passes, Iron Butt and SCMA certifications, and the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. Endured rain, sleet, and even several crashes. And after all those adventures, it still performs exactly as intended.
No failures.
No leaks.
No complaints.
Just comfort.
Apparently One Wild Ass Wasn’t Enough
Recently I got a second Wild Ass. Not for another motorcycle. For my backrest. Because why should my backside get all the comfort? Now I’ve got one supporting my seat and another supporting my back. At this point I’m basically riding down the highway in a La-Z-Boy recliner! And honestly? I’m not even a little sorry about it.

Final Verdict
Motorcycle seats are a lot like mattresses. Everyone thinks theirs is comfortable… Until they spend twelve straight hours on it.
The Wild Ass won’t add horsepower. It won’t improve your fuel economy. It won’t make your motorcycle louder. But somewhere around hour eight, while everyone else is doing the awkward gas-stop shuffle trying to get feeling back into their ass, you’ll understand exactly why this thing is worth every penny.
If you happen to see me rolling down the interstate with one Wild Ass under me and another supporting my back… Just know I’ve finally reached the point in life where comfort wins. And my Wild Ass and I couldn’t be happier about it.
